The game was played at Lee's Memorial Field at Pete Sultis Stadium on Sunday February 12, 2006 at 2:00 PM and the Juniors defeated the Seniors 16 to 14 for the 14th Annual Game.  It was a close game right up until the buzzer sounded at the end of the 4th quarter.

Mayor Calvin Mundinger proclaims February 12, 2006 as "PROJECT GRADUATION POWDER PUFF DAY in Baytown."  [Click here to see Proclamation] The Baytown Sun also wrote a nice play by play article of the game.  Here is a couple of pictures from the game.  Please remember that Project Graduation is selling Video Tapes of the game. What is Powder Puff?

What exactly is a Powder Puff game?  Well, for those of you who don’t already know, Powder Puff is a complete reversal of the usual components of an ordinary football game.   Females from grades eleven and twelve pay an entry fee of $10.00, and each assigned offense and defense positions.  Each group endures a number of both indoor and outdoor practices, regardless of the weather.  These are led by junior and senior members of the football team elected to be coaches.  After weeks of preparation, the day of the big games finally arrives.  The Senior High teams face off against the Junior High team at 2:00 PM.

And what football game would be complete without cheerleaders?!  A cheering squad featuring all males roots for the girls and provides everyone with an enormous amount of entertainment.  Learning so many cheers and dances requires no less patience and dedication than that of the ladies on the field, and game day presents a perfect opportunity to showcase these spirited guys’ talent.

The rules and restrictions of Powder Puff play are enforced by none other than members of Lee's Coach Staff.  These guys keep the girls in line during the games, making sure competition stays clean and everyone has a good time.

This year Project Graduation will be working with a photographer to take video tape recordings of the game and we will be selling the recordings for this game for $ 9.95 each.  Orders are being taken now.  A limited supply of these VHS tapes will be available so place your order now to assure you get your copy.  [Video Tape page and order form]
